Meet Kate Faxen, Neurodiversity Expert, Author, ACC Coach, and Inclusion Strategist
I’m Kate Faxen, a late-diagnosed ADHDer and mum to neuroextraordinary twins.
With decades of experience shaping inclusive cultures, I advocate for neurodivergent talent and the families navigating complex, often inequitable systems. My first book, How to Hack the System: 66 Shortcuts to Becoming Your Neurodivergent Child’s Fiercest Advocate, is due for release in 2026.
My purpose is simple: to help as many neuroextraordinary people as possible thrive.
I understand both the challenges and the opportunities neurodiversity brings, including the invisible load carried by parents and carers of neurodivergent children. I especially see you.
Professionally, I bring decades of experience across local government and higher education, including roles at UCL and Westminster City Council. I’ve led culture change, designed leadership programmes, and delivered measurable impact in complex, resource-constrained environments.
I’m an ACC-accredited coach (ICF and Barefoot Coaching), specialising in empathetic leadership and neurodiversity. Only a small proportion of UK coaches hold this accreditation, so you can be confident you’re in expert hands.
Trust, fairness, and joy guide my work. I also volunteer with charities supporting women and families of neurodivergent children, because change doesn’t stop at the workplace.
Let’s connect on LinkedIn to share insights, ideas, and momentum.
